I'm going to buy an OMD soon and I'd like to plan my lighting gear beforehand, so I can get everything at once.

Initially I was thinking I'd just get 3 FL-50Rs and control them from the camera. I really like the idea of being able to adjust them manually from the camera.

After a little more research I've learned that the flashes require line-of-site to the flash unit that attaches to the top of the camera. Has anyone tried using a RL-50R as a backlight? If so, does it work? It seem to me that it might not.

Would using a set of radio transmitters (PocketWizard, etc.) work better, and still allow me to control the flash power from the camera's menu?

Any other options I should be considering?
