Traditional wisdom would suggest I should have opened the aperture or raised the ISO in this lighting, especially as a deep DoF was not critical. But with IBIS being what it is I’ve become far too casual with shutter speed.

OMG
A bit of background. I'm a long time Fuji shooter and on a whim nailed a cheap EM10. I looked around for a cheapish good lens and decided on the Oly 25. Total cost, $550 AUD or $370 USD including the new lens from a Hong Kong dealer I trust. [everything still in the mail]
Now I've had or have a selection of reasonable Fuji primes...35 f/2 and 50 f/2 and the 27 f/2.8 and also the 50-140 f/2.8.
I don't plan to start a lens comparison war but just let me say that after scrolling through this showcase I have a huge smile on my face at the prospect of getting my hands on the 25!!!

I think you will be happy. Coupled with the small E-M10 is will be a great walk around setup when you are not in the mood to carry larger or a selection of lenses. The Oly 25/1.8 is my go to prime and I tend to reach for it more than my zoom as I just find it more fun to use.

My daughter with our day old grandson.
Taken by a very proud and happy Grampfer.
Exactly what my new em5ii and old Oly25 were made for.
