It doesn't seem like anybody else is posting images with this lens... it's a very nice, compact telephoto prime which packs away easily so you can always have a good long lens with you...

Here's a few samples from it...

I always wondered how good the bigger Legacy OM glass worked with :43:

I'd be careful to not hurt the flange on the body with the extra weight.

You got any side profile shots? Hard to judge the dimensions from the diagonal angle.

Can't say I do... but I'll see about taking one!

I love this lens, it works well as a small tele, it is small enough to hand held photo and to transport in a small bag. I also have the Zuiko 300mm f/4.5 and it is not so transportable. I have the Zuiko 2X-A for this lens and I do not see apparent loss of quality when using it, but the lens is transformed in a f/8.
"phrenic", here are the photos that you ask for:
    COOLPIX S500    ---    6mm    f/2.8    1/45s    ISO 275

    COOLPIX S500    ---    6mm    f/2.8    1/62s    ISO 329

This photo was almost point and shoot at f4, ISO 200, hand held. I was casual with this lens, just see the "Sturnus unicolor", take this shoot and they fly away. I'm posting a jpeg without post processing or crop. The birds where at ± 9meters/30feet.

The next photos are not a scientific experience, just to give an idea of this lens compared to others and at various f/stops. What is shown are 100% crops. From my experience I feel that the old lenses don't work so well with strong light as digital lenses, at least my slow "tells", so photos that are present in conditions very demanding. The "glow" with the 2X-A doesn't happen with less strong light and at f/8.

I hope this post helps to give useful information on this lens.

I have the silvernosed version of that lens, and it stays in the closet, I must admit. Lovely size and handling, but lots of CA @f4,0. And not terribly sharp. I'm guessing, Ned, you have a later edition?

I bought this lens used for $95 in 1992 for my OM1. Probably shot less than a dozen pics on film with it.
I shot some more with it on my E300 DSLR, but didn't like it. It likely wasn't focused.
Serial # 218XXX, by the way.

Easier to focus on M43 and results are OK..

Lots of CA, but I think mine is reasonably sharp. It's just too big to pack in an M43 kit unless I
was driving to see the mountains and valleys.
