Rare trip outdoors before spring...

Forced to go outside (against my better nature) to do a chore I snapped a couple o' pics of the dawg:

PC240011 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

PC240003 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

I set the EM-5 at 6x6 ratio, black 'n white.

Voila!!! Turned a thousand dollar modern digital camera into a Hawkeye Brownie :2thumbs:.

.JPG files right out of camera, no post processing.

This thing is the most fun I've had out of fifty bucks since I bought my last tank of gas .

Regards,

Jim

Okay, the 15mm lens cap lens is getting addicting. This lens is a lot of fun to shoot with. It isn't noticeable and it makes your camera incredibly discrete. This lens makes a great street shooter lens. Here's a couple from today:

E-M5 & 15 f/8:

The last one with the car caused a spontaneous WOW from my mouth. Great shot.

13 second on a windy, snowy night
straight out of camera, no post processing
note some branches are blurred due to 17mph wind and long exposure

I got one for Christmas! But I need to get outside with it. Not enough light to take good pics indoors. Maybe tomorrow. Hope to post something soon.

When I was maybe 12-13, my uncle let me use an old 35 mm camera that he never used. I don't remember the brand, but it had a collapsable lens and some control of the aperture, but no shutter speed control, meter, or focus. I suspect many folks here had a simple film camera like that when they were younger. The 15 forces you back to that old hyperfocal world. Like Holgas or anything they use for lomography, it simplifies the technical aspects of shooting and forces you attention back on the subject. Nothing I couldn't do with the 14, but I just don't. As always, this is JMHO.
