Let see your shots taken with the Olympus 15mm f8 Bodycap lens mounted.
Here are mine I have taken so far to get this thread started.

Excellent.

For the longest time, I'd been debating between the Olympus 12mm and the Panasonic 14mm...if this little guy fills the small size role as well as it appears, it looks like I'll be going to for the 12mm as the low light wide...

Great set, thanks! I've been waiting to see what this lens could do in full sun. Everything else I've seen has been from overcast days and low light. It looks every bit as good as I'd hoped. Not bad for an inexpensive lens.

Thanks for the kind comments, for what it is and how much it costs, I'm impressed. It will not replace my P14 2/5, but it will ensure my GF3 will get more use as it make it so pocketable.

Took a couple more today, the weather was light rain and gloomy, but this lens still worked well at ISO160. Sorry about the wrist strap in the second one. I wanted to show the colours it can capture in poor light.

Geez, not bad at all. No "trick lens" look here, except maybe for some vignetting in low light in that last B&W shot. Oddly, I really like that shot, so go figure . . . Darren, how close can it focus?

The vignetting as added as I wanted to go for that look, I tried it out and liked it.
The closest it can focus is 30cms, the pink rose in my first batch was taken at that distance.

It's good to see some shots from this lens. I'm looking forward to getting mine and trying it out in a few different situations. I think it's going to be a good lens to work with.

Wow, great shots. When did yours arrive? Did you order direct from Olympus or through an outlet like B&H?

Olympus 15mm V Panasonic 14-45 at 14mm

Do you have any 100% crops? Like, say the corvette's wheel?
I did do a comparison shot with the Olympus 15mm bodycap lens and the Panasonic 14-45mm zoom. Probably an unfair comparison as the Panasonic zoom has been regarded as the best kit zoom ever supplied. B&H sell these lenses for Olympus 15mm -$49.00 and the Panasonic 14-45mm - $255.95.
Here are the shots of the Corvette itself and the front wheel as requested.
These were converted straight into jpegs in LR4 with no processing done.

Olympus on the left and Panasonic on the right.
The Olympus 15mm lens was on a Panasonic GF3 and the Panasonic 14-45mm zoom was on a Panasonic GF1, so the settings may have been different.

Darren, thank you very much for that. I was considering this lens but I think you just saved me £69.95 :)

corvette confirmed my order ....

Interesting how one photo can be interpreted two different ways ...

For some of what I shoot, the F8 and be there axiom is much more important than absolute image quality. Not every case, and clearly not in the studio.

The Corvette zoom shows that for the type of shooting I plan on using the body cap for, it will be just fine IQ wise. Most of those images are web resolution anyway.

If the RX100 firmware were just a bit more tuned to street shooting, and it was not such a PITA to reset the camera every time I wanted to do that, the body cap lens might not have been pre-ordered. Still I like the OVF, on the OMD, the no focus and go shooting paradigm that the body cap should give will be fun.

Go figure, two photographers have different needs and M-4/3 will accommodate both.

Some more shots from yesterday. The weather was dull and gloomy, so I had the ISO up to 400. Also my first time on Adobe LR.
