I went fishing yesterday with my two brothers and a buddy. We were 20+ miles off the Oregon coast, and there is a surprising amount of life out there. Along with a lot of sharks and albatross, we also had a couple of humpbacks too close for the Little Tuna.
We watched this shark for a while as it tried to catch whatever was hiding under the log. It's a pretty tight crop and not really worthy of a lens showcase, but it was super cool seeing the action.

After the fog burned off, black-footed albatross keyed in on our boat. At one point, I counted 40 of these overgrown seagulls bobbing along behind us...

This has got to be the ultimate candid portraiture lens. Even when the subject is aware, you're so far away that they don't feel threatened.

These are from our local Saturday Market, the major source of our income.

Something's broken again… :-(

(You might note, both of them are missing steering wheels, which seems to be a weak point in 40-50-year-old Ford tractors.)

To "better serve the public," they just put a new ferry on our island, which takes ten fewer cars than the bad old ferry did, resulting in a one-sailing delay for many folk, and increased local employment, because they had to hire flaggers to manage the traffic and to repeat at least 44 times, "You'll be on the next boat!" (What were they thinking?)

No worries; I had an extra 90 minutes away from farm work with my camera that day…

(The 150/2 sure loves bokeh!)

Sorry, I just can't stop shooting this thing!

Here's some eye candy for the females on this site, one of our volunteers, from France. (Sorry ladies, he has a girlfriend!)

Once again, the 150/2 shows off its excellent subject isolation. ("You can't do that with a postage-stamp-sized sensor!")

I am increasingly of the view that this is one of the best optics ever made. I just love it. My number 1 reason for not being interested in full frame. My true love of it relates to its use in portraiture, but here are some nice ones of the autumn leaves from a few weeks back.
