    Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a secondhand Olympus 14-42mm Mk. II, the MSC version, and I tested it on my G3, to my surprise, after reading all the reviews about how "whisper-quiet" it is during movie zooming and autofocus, I was greeted with a clicky-ish kind of noise, something like a tiny cog unwinding. Is this normal for this lens?

Mine is not quiet in video mode, save when set to MF. For stills it's quiet, but I've not heard anyone claim the same about videos.

After trying it with a E-PL2, the sound is much less "clicky"? I think it's like the Panasonic 20mm's clicking sound on Oly bodies. Thanks anyway dhazeghi!
