I am looking for an all-around wide-angle prime lens for my OM-D EM-5.
I was mainly interested in the 12mm f2 after reading all positive reviews. But I love the 35mm FL on FF and the 17mm f1.8 would possibly be the best lens for this. I would probably to add the Rokinon 7.5mm FE if i decide to go with 17mm as it is cheaper than the 12mm. On the other hand, I like to shoot wide open and the lack of sharpness at f1.8 is a stopper for me... can't decide right now.
What could be the best option for the OM-D ?

Have you considered the 14mm/f2.5? Possibly alongside the 20mm/f1.7?

14/2.5 alongside 20/1.7 is definitely a good, more affordable, pancake combo!
I would pick 12/2.0 and 17/1.8 personally even if it takes a little big longer to purchase just because of the very high quality of those lenses.

But the Rokinon 7.5mm is a GREAT lens (extremely sharp in the center) as well so 7.5mm and 17mm is not a bad idea either.
The 7.5mm is just not as all around as the 12mm is.

    Just my 2c :)

Sorry for the off-topic, which lens profile did you defish with? I'm using the Nikon 10.5mm fisheye and liking it but wondered if this was the same or another lens profile?

For the OP - get the 7.5mm, I've only just bought mine but it's a *great* lens, and you can defish it in LR in about 3 clicks for a more 'normal' look. I also have the 14mm and 20mm but I'm leaning towards replacing the pair with the 17mm now I have the 7.5mm.

I'm feeling a strooooong pull from the panny 12-35mm though as a supreme walkaround - but that shatters the budget!

I typically would use the "Sigma 10mm F2.8 EX DC Fisheye HSM" profile

Another good option might be the Oly 9-18mm instead of the 17 and Rokinon or 12mm
It would cover almost all 3 FL in one.

I have the 12 and the new 17 and I prefer the 12, however I tend to favor UWA so I'm bais. Before I recently picked up the 7-14, the 12 and the Panny 8 FE were two lenses that I always had in my bag.

My problem with the 7.5 fisheye is that it's so sharp, it makes other lenses look soft in comparison!
