Just curious if this is the performance I should expect from this lens. If other owners can chime in to indicate if this look about as sharp as a good copy or not, I would appreciate it.

Opening them in separate tabs might be helpful.

Posted same elsewhere, but for the record, I had two of the 12/2s and neither was, at the same aperture, nearly as good as my 12-35/2.8 or 7-14/4. These were informal test shots of the proverbial bookcase, from a tripod, with self-timer. The Admiringlight.com review mentions that he returned two before he got one he was really happy with.

Don't have the lens, but at least in the flat-field shots, I think removing the CA will make it seem sharper. Your results overall look fairly close to some others I've seen.

Thanks, please ignore 643, there appears to be motion blur.

This looks about right, perhaps not perfect but not returnable either, but the big problems here are overexposure and CA. Dialling back the exposure (or exposing on the sky) and/or using a hood would aid the output significantly in these conditions. Also be prepared to shoot RAW and under expose in these conditions and pull back the shadows. Your results will improve as a consequence. In addition, the 12 is one of the sharpest lenses available for M43s but isn't at its best at F2. I think of F2 as a low light option only.

I would disagree (based on my own experience as an owner of the 12 and the 12-35) with jnewell on his view that the 12-35 is sharper, I found they are about equally sharp in the centre and the 12 is sharper round the edges (though that may have been a version dependent view).

Here is some examples from my own copy of the 12 (click through for Exif info):
