Dust it off to use with a new filter holder and system while waiting for the step up ring to arrive.

I love this lens! It's extremely versatile. I've used it on 3 family shoots, 1 business shoot, and these landscape shots

A start to the opening buds of a Corymbia Ficifolia - 'Summer Beauty', pink flowering gum (previously Eucalyptus Ficifolia).

And the natural pruner of all these trees, the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo.

And just because I'm enjoying using this newly acquired lens, this is a crop of the above to show the captured detail.

Both taken with E-M1 & ZD12-60mm SWD lens.

    2. This one is with the 60mm macro lens for a closer look at the opportunistic crab spider that has taken up residence under the cap.

    3. Another bud that has almost fully opened.

    4. And a remaining water droplet on one of the leaves.

All taken with E-M1 & ZD12-60mm SWD lens except #2 with the M.ZD60mm macro lens.

While I save up for the 12-40, the 12-60 is my regular zoom option. Other than it being fairly large, the optical quality is fine for me for the time being. I tried some composite exposures tonight to capture some star trails and was surprised by the different colours of the stars. It never really occurred to me that there would be such a range of star colours, I'm guessing this is normal?
Here is one of the photos, a 30 minute exposure in 30 second steps.
    Cheers

Wow, I can't believe how few images there are in this thread. While the lens may be large and somewhat heavy, it's not a huge issue because it's really only intended to be used on the E-M1, where the deep grip compensates for that. In a recent effort to consolidate my gear and free up some cash for future purchases, I sold one of my GH4's, 35-100 f/2.8, and am in the process of selling my 12-35 f/2.8. Instead, I am using the 12-60 & 50-200 on both of my E-M1's (makes for a great two lens, two body kit for outdoor photography). I am VERY pleased with this lens, and although it loses its aperture speed more quickly than I would like, the range makes up for it (why couldn't Olympus have done a 12-50 that maintained the aperture like the 14-54 II does?).

Anyways, this past weekend was my first chance to put the lens to the test, and it didn't disappoint. It would have been nice to have a CPL filter, but it didn't arrive in time.

One from this evening before the storm rolled in. This is the entrance to a local city park, with a nice water feature and very nice landscaping.

This lens is fantastic. Great range and aperture speed, tack sharp, and the manual focusing capability is wonderful.
