Always pleased with how well this lens works.

I haven't had this lens for a long time, and I'm now addicted to the 12-40 on my Pen-F, but I always thought the 12-60 EZ was a very useful lens that suffered when it was released by comparisons with the Pro grade 12-60 built for the 4/3 SLR's that preceded m43. On it's own terms it is a versatile and capable performer.

That's why I still can´t get rid of my copy.
I now have the Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8, but still keep the 12-50 because it's so versatile and have a very nice pseudo-Macro feature.
As opposed to other user reports, my copy is a better performer at 50mm than at the 12mm.
The fixed 46mm Macro option is excellent.
One of these days I'll pick up my copy for a walk.

Going back through some shots from last spring. Shot this in "Pop Art" .jpg, but it was a little too much. Processed this from .ORF and fiddled saturation some.

Apparently I'm a fanboy for this lens. Going through a few more from last spring:

With the lockdown, it has given me the chance to try the macro and take a photo of this little fella in the garden

A much better lens than reviewers would have us believe, although Imaging Resource reviews it pretty well.

The macro feature is both good and useful IME.

Like my 14-42 EZ, I use mine almost always on my E-M1 MkI.
The 14-42 EZ for tiny, the 12-50 for versatility.
