I have had my OM-D for a couple of weeks now and (being a recent convert from nikon) have been setting up camera settings/mysets etc. I think I have my head around the menu system but there is one thing that I cannot work out, infact I think it's a fault with the lens:

When I put the 12-50 kit lens into E-Zoom I feel it spring loaded left and right from a centre detent position however, when I twist 'left' (anticlockwise) it power zooms as it is supposed to (?) but when I release it it zooms itself bak out to 12mm. Twisting 'right' does nothing.

So when I release the lens it always zooms out to 12mm and only left twist will zoom to 50 (or in between) but it wont stay there.

Am I crazy or is this not right?

    Manual and macro work fine.

That's not right. It's defective and should be repaired/replaced.
