I had been using my O 45 1.8 all day, but changed to the 12-100 at the last minute. The snake is a Great Basin Gopher snake and harmless (except to rodents and lizards). This one had an attitude and was hissing and striking at me.

I have been interested in buying one of these lenses, looking through the photo's from it on this site has convinced me to get one. What I find most interesting is the variety of the photos which show the great beauty of our planet both landscapes and wildlife and the ingenuity of man in the richness of designs of architecture and cityscapes, the photo's here are superb. Keep up the good work guys its very worthwhile looking at shots from places or events that would take many many lifetimes to witness yourself.

I had the 12-100 Pro for a short time, but a couple of days ago I swapped my copy for an Olympus 45mm 1.2 in similar near mint condition. Owning the Olympus 12-40 and 40-150 2.8 pro lenses made my decision easier, but I will definitely be looking at purchasing the 12-100 again in the future. A great lense.

Spent the last week in Japan without a tripod (tugging along a 22 month old), and have been seriously impressed not just by the quality of the glass - but the combined Lens IS and IBIS
