I'll use my 100-400 f/5 to f/6.3 for indoor animal portraits, said nobody, ever.

I was shooting birds in trees and had the iso set to 1600 (it's very overcast here today). I then noticed this little fly on the BBQ cover next to me, so I thought I'd test the close focusing ability of the 100-400. I think it would have been better if I'd dropped the iso and had a little more dr to play with, but I think the lens did well

This Great Tit photo is a 800mm equivalent, 1/200 sec, one handed shot. I had to use my left hand to shade my eyes from the low sun.

I think that this requires a different IBIS setting - the one-hand mode (mode S-IS4), right? ;)

And knowing Olympus, S-IS5 one handed mode left too :whistling:

I was impressed with the lens IS, which is why I mentioned it being a one handed shot. The lens is quite a lump to hold steady one handed. I wouldn’t normally shoot that way though due to the stress on the lens mount.
