Hey guys, I am trying to find out if the wireless from my GH3 could fire a Oly FL36R wirelessly for off camera flash (obviously). I cannot find a yes or no answer on this topic. I have found one second hand, wondering if I should pull the trigger to purchase it or not. I am on a super tight budget right now and cannot afford radio triggers for OCF.

Possibly anyone out there with a GH3 that knows of other manufactures that can do OCF without radio triggers.

I start it off with I know for a fact that panasonic flashes can do OCF wirelessly.

To date there are NO wifi controlled m43 flashes. The FL36R can be triggered with the cameras optical IR controller. Read your camera manual to see if your camera has optical IR out-put capabilities.

My mistake, further reading of the user manual for both the FL36R (OLY) and FL360L (PANA) show both flashes use "RC" mode to be trigger by the camera. I am assuming my GH3 could trigger the FL36R in RC mode.

I should have add a preface to my post. I am new to flash photography.

I am lost about wireless capabilities of camera and flash.
