Anyone got a shot of the 12mm f2.0 and 45mm f1.8 lenses sat next to each other?
Will this work?
Now, the Olymus site says the 45mm f1.8 is 56mm diameter and strangely the 12mm is also supposed to be 56mm diameter. It looks like this is the collar that mounts against the camera body. Can some one confirm this for me? I'm looking at a very specific application and this measurement is pretty critical since it needs to fit in to a pre-designed adapter that the 12mm f2.0 fits in to perfectly.
I just measured 56.05 +/- 0.05 mm flange diameter for both. The 0.05-mm variation is from different points along the rim.
Excellent - thanks Terry!
The funny thing is, I don't own any of these lenses anymore.
I sold the 12mm for a second body and cash which was used to purchase the 12-35 f/2.8. The 25mm was sold for the 17mm, which I just sold and bought the PL 15mm (I also bought the PL 25mm after selling the Olympus 25mm), and I sold the 45mm because I didn't use it all that much, but I'm not seriously considering getting the new Panasonic 42.5 f/1.7.
Thanks for the replies. The 45mm f1.8 arrived today and it fits perfectly
