Old Takumar 135 on GH2

  1. I have some old Takumar SMC lenses and decided to try them on the GH2. I put a 135mm on a 2x teleconverter, which makes a 540mm equivalent or about 2x the 14-140 Panasonic lens. These three shots are of the St. Francis Xavier church in Nashua, NH. It is about a half a mile away. The three shots are with the Panny 14-140 at 140, the Takumar and a 100% crop out of the Takumar shot. You will see some redness in the tree branches. I don't know what is causing this. I corrected for red/green and yellow/blue cromatic abberation when opening the DNG file. Both shots are at f8, tripod mounted. If this seems acceptable as a cheap long lens, the Takumar 135 sells for cheap on eBay and probably at flea markets.
