Old flashes. Botzilla says "Your Call", So...?

    http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html is a useful resource for checking trigger voltages to get some guidance on whether flashes are safe to use on modern cameras but sits on the fence for anything in the above 6v but "middling voltage" bracket so how about a thread to record any good or bad experiences. Usual caveat though that it's still your call even if someone reports no problem

    I've used Vivitar 285 HV and 2500 models on G series Panasonics and GF2 without any fry-ups. Occasional use not prolonged. (if that would make a difference?).

    Any flash made after the early to mid 80's has a low voltage trigger circuit.
