Ignoring earlier comments about slow flying pigeons :roflmao: coming towards me this was not slow, i missed about 4 early shots when the bird was small but when it picked up on the bird it pretty much kept with it.

You cant judge critical sharpness as the lens was wide open and at iso 1250 for some and 1600 for the rest, we can only look at how well it kept up, no images missed out.

You seem to have a special edition of fw3.0 . With either of my Cameras (E-M1mk2 and E-M1X) the "Center Start" does follow the focus area as it should. I just tested again.
Cheers Horst
I got an email yesterday from our Rep telling me that what he told me last week re: Center Start was not correct. He pointed me to a couple of videos which I have not yet watched.

So, I stand corrected, and need to check further myself. Learning a new system is always a fun challenge.

Great to hear from you folks about the AF on the Mk2. If I can get a Mk2 as a 3rd backup body I will feel much safer when out in the field.

I mostly shoot birds and the AF was pretty darn good to start with the new FW has made it a little better perhaps a tad below my EM1X ,It's impossible to replicate the same BIF shots I'm sure I'm the weakest link so a good day ( ME BEING GOOD ) with the mkII can beat the 1x or make it a draw it's not a night and day difference .

Rob.
This is great to hear. You nailed it with "I'm the weakest link", aren't we all?

Flying Pigeons, equivalent of those pesky Cat Photos :roflmao: Good test, thanks for posting. By the way, I hope you were wearing a hat ....

Hi,
I just wanted to provide an update over my issue with C-AF. I doubt my technique improved that much, however now that I have the AF scanner set to Mode3 and C-AF release shutter set to OFF, I am extremely happy with the performance of the AF. 70-80% of my images are now sharp! And this with single-point AF. When I use the 5 point AF it is even better. I hope this will help!

Did another burst today on this Muscovy, this is the full set with none missing, i thought it had missed nailing a few but on closer inspection it hadn't, takeing a closer look it would seem i missed the head as a focus point and parts of the duck further back like its feet are spot on, at f4.5 its no surprise.
