Water in a pyrex dish. Then add a little oil, gently, stir. There is a colour magazine page, placed under the raised pyrex. Watch out for scratches and logos. Reflect the lighting off the magazine page. Focus, take shot wit shutter delay, app or remote release. I may edit in Nik effects to improve colour.

I think the third one works the best. The sharpness, the lighting, the arrangement of the bubbles, the tones of the background, it all comes together so well.

Thanks, all down to planning and luck. I will try and make larger bubbles, or get nearer with extension tubes.

Looks cool! Shooting straight down can be a challenge, I think, because it is hard to get the camera out far enough (over a table) without using stuff like lateral arms (or at least tilting center columns). Sometimes I use a macro slider as you have here just to get the camera out more with a regular setup and head pointing down.

That first image in your most recent post is the best so far, I think. They look so ROUND! (the last image is somewhat the same; seems like it must be the lighting and color that is giving that look to them).

Well the 2nd set of photos worked out better. iPhone with app as the release and live screen, no delay. Larhe flat LED panel, flat on the table, led down. Cateye bike light with blue filter. 10 watt COB led with orange, or yellow filter.
