Yesterday I was in the park taking some running pictures of my dog.
Suddenly there was a grinding noise from the OM-D, the camera starting to shake, after that the screen was black en the camera responded no more. When I take my lens from the camera I saw the shutter was closed en crumpled inside the camera.
O my god!!, what is this? When I put on the power there is no movement and the shutter is completely stuck and it look like there are some shutter blade's folded and lose.
I bring the camera to my local dealer and see what the problem is...................

Wow, there seem to be quite a number of problems with OMD circulating recently.

Let us know what Olympus say on your case.

Oh man, I think I'm about to feel sick.

Hopefully you haven't lost your receipt and hopefully you get it sorted out, surely this cannot be any fault of your own.

I can tell you that I'm pretty sick, but it isn't my fault.

Hope this gets fixed for you ASAP. Can't see how anyone would think that could be your fault. Please let us know how this gets resolved. Best of luck...

Were you using high speed sequential shots?

What was your preview time? You may have been trying to shoot while the buffer was full. I know on my Epl-1 if I have the preview set a 3 sec then it starts making some bad noises if I try to shoot sequential so I turn preview off .

It's clearly a manufacturing defect, you'll have to send your camera in but I don't think they'll give you a hard time about it.
