Oh deer - Bolderwood with my GH3

    Thanks for these. That lens seems pretty sharp on the long end, and you handled the backlighting very well. I like the second to last photo the most.

    Nice. I agree that you made the back-lighting work to your advantage. You managed to get that "aura" that separates the subject from the background in a nice way.

    Yes, I thought the results from the 100-300 were fine at the long end. It is softer than some of the really fast primes (or the two F2.8 zooms panny makes) but it is all relative - for a long zoom these results were fine. It's an excellent lens that seems about equal with the 75-300 mk I used previously. I did have a couple of softer shots but I think I'll put them down to a shaky tripod and lower shutter speeds.

    Me too (I like venison that is)... :smile: Nice to see and "shoot" (with a camera) game in the wild too of course.
