Joe I haven't been to the Henry's in forty years although I drive by them frequently. Would love to see photos from there and hope you get a chance to scale a few peaks!!

A drive down the scenic Notom-Bullfrog Road in Capitol Reef, N.P. (CRNP), Utah. Notom was a small ranching community on the eastern side of CRNP. Today Notom no longer exists and a large ranching complex occupies the area where the community once existed. The Notom-Bullfrog Road is some 65 miles of mostly dirt road that parallels the Waterpocket Fold (WF). The WF defines CRMP and is a nearly 100 mile long, north-to-south warp in the Earth's crust. The WF is a classic "monocline , a step-up in rock layers. The rock layers on the west side of the Fold have lifted more than 7,000 feet higher than the east side. This drive is doable in good weather as long as the road is dry and, can be done with the usual family sedan although an all wheel drive vehicle is preferable. The normal drive goes from north-to-south and begins at Hwy. 24 heading south until the junction road to the switch backs and then taking the road on to Boulder, Utah on the Burr Trail...another scenic drive!!

I spent a time there many years ago. Rented a bungalow in Colonia Suiza for a while in the fall and traveled all over.

We're long term travellers (left home June 2014) and have been living in Esquel since March 2020 largely due to Covid. We love this part of the world. Unfortunately I think we will need to return to the UK soon in order to get our vaccinations. I can't see us being able to cross land borders (we travel by motorcycle) without vaccinations any time soon.
