The layers are probably due to the heavy use of dehaze, lots of smoke today. Removing the branches is probably too much for this lazy photo processor.
I think removing the branches would take a minute at most! Depending on your PP SW. :)
The layers I mean is the ridges in the picture, they get more hazy the further away they are and it gives a sense of depth.

I took the liberty to download your image and remove the branches for you!
It actually took me longer then a minute, opening the DxO PL3 is a little slow.
So here is @Harvey Melvin Richards picture without the offending branches.

Peaking through the Granite - Mt Cooke - Monadnocks National Park

The view to west towards the Indian Ocean from the peak of Mt Cooke in the Monadnocks National Park, Western Australia.

We were walking the Bibbulmun Track in this section as part of Ibu Anne’s training to complete the Oxfam Trailwalker 50km. Anne ticked off the Trailwalker in early October 2018, having completed the 50 km walk.
