Going through external hard drives looking for a lost photo...no luck so far, gotta keep digging. We did a big trip through SE Utah in November, 2014 and that is supposedly where the photo is...anyhow, came across this ominous scene and thought I would post it til I find the one I'm looking for!!View attachment 784906

Four images of the rock formations in Red Canyon, UT, a relatively shallow valley in the side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau surrounded by orange red limestone. The rocks are eroded into the familiar pinnacles, spires, columns and hoodoos also found in Bryce Canyon a few miles to the east, albeit on a smaller scale and with less color variation.

Farming valley – Le Mourade - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D6-10 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

A moment taken to look down over the farming valleys from Le Mourade before we continued west-south-westwards over the Plateau de la Gardille.

Day 6 of 12 - La Bastide-Puylaurent to Chasserades: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.

Set out to have a first attempt at astrophotography but it ended up clouding over so ended up as a first attempt at night photography... cold, dark, damp... took 50 photos over 3 hours and only came out with 3 decent shots (one off which I'm only keeping because I spent 1.5 hours trying to get a shot!).

This was from the last set-up of the night, started at midnight!
