The theme of the contest is: - Mushrooms

"Mushroom" describes a variety of gilled fungi, with or without stems, and the term is used even more generally, to describe both the fleshy fruiting bodies of some Ascomycota and the woody or leathery fruiting bodies of some Basidiomycota.

1st Prize: - 24x36 print on canvas Visual Magnetics Material (value $170.00)

2nd Prize: 18x24 Print same material. (value $140.00)

    New: Sponsors Choice Award!

It will be printed and shipped anywhere in the world for free.

To understand the material you'll have to look at the web site videos: Visual Magnetics Graphic System

    Contest Rules:

The contest winner will be determined by member vote (poll). Voting will begin on November 1, 2011 and end after 6 days. November 7th.

Visual Magnetics is not a printing service.
They manufacture the material and sell in large volume
The printers are enormous 54" - 72" wide. commercial machines for testing the material and producing commercial ICC profiles and finishes.

In the meantime, you can go to Visual Magnetics Graphic System, toward the bottom of the home page on the left are two videos. Watch them... it's very cool stuff, and BRAND NEW to the market.

This will be my first contest entry. I posted this on the Panny 20mm f1.7 native lens thread already. I like fungus! Enjoy! Click the pic to view and verify the exif data on flickr.

Thanks. Here is one I took in the backyard with my E-P1 and a legacy lens (probably the 50 mm, f/1.4 screw-mount Pentax lens). Thanks.
