Yes, he was alone, and I'm sure more than a bit conflicted. Good cops hate bad cops, makes the job even harder.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It is a very complex and wrenching situation. No one should have to live in fear or suffer oppression, but sadly it happens every day. Hopefully each of us can see the humanity in each other and treat everyone with kindness and respect, and when we see racism and oppression in our daily lives around us, have the courage to call it out and make our voices heard.

What a great series.... really like the tight shots (presumably with the 42.5). With so much going on all around, there is such an instinct to go with the wide lens, and it was really powerful to capture the close up shots of the masked faces. Well done.

Thank you so much! I like to get close and make the photos about the people, and our shared humanity. I prefer my images to be specific rather than just wide shots of what's happening.
