Found an Andrea-2 filter, lost for a year, took it for a walk. Noflexar f/3.5, 35mm lens. Andrea-2 shows an IR leak, so used a BG38 to stamp it out.
It's quite like a Bessell-U, IR leak included. Visible photos used BG38 filter ; Ultraviolet photos used BG38 & Andrea-2.

Klaus, I first read about the Andrea filter, on your blog, years ago. Blue leak, I saw on your very helpful transmission plot. Cheers, for that and all the others.

Andrea 'U' is good for some unconverted cameras/camcorders, if you want UV and don't mind a small amount of blue.
Andrea-U/Andrea-2 filter is by far the best UV-Blue & IR filter, that l have ever used.

A Few More, Colour & B&W.

Andrea 'U' is a useful filter, if used with BG38 or any similar IR blocking/UV passing filters.

Certainly, a lot more than I expected. it's makes quite a practical IR filter, leaks more than a Bessell-U, as shown in my latest thread.
