NOT the Panasonic Sensor

    What's in the OM-D E-M5? Well, it's definitely not the same sensor as in Panasonic's G3 or GX1 or any other camera. :frown:

    Yes, it's a NEW sensor not seen before in any camera. Just read the specs (thanks Robin Wong)...

    Robin Wong advertises for Olympus and has about as much credibility as Justin Theroux talking about Jennifer Anniston.

    His analysis of sensor design is akin to the Swedish Chef critiquing Morimoto.

    Olympus gets a different number of pixels out of the existing 12MP sensor as well. Panasonic generates 4000x3000 images, Olympus 4032*3024 -- a nearly 0.2 MP difference. So I don't think having a subtly different resolution tells us a lot.
