A northern Sydney suburb (North Narrabeen), up at 3:50am head over and pick up a fellow photographer, drive across Sydney and avoid all the toll roads, radar cameras and police cars and start taking photos before first light.
Meet up with half-a-dozen other mad photographers and take photos.
As usual, playing with my Olympus E-P1 and 9-18mm lens set to 9mm and the usual long exposures to snap a couple of shots.
Head down to a cafe in Narrabeen aftwards for Sunday breakfast and then back home. Repeat the same thing week after week.
The first shot was taken around 35 minutes before 'first light' and is a blend of 3 exposures from 60 seconds to 15 seconds. All at f/16 and ISO100.
This is from a single exposure of 2.5s and and also f/16 and ISO100. This is around 5 minutes after sunrise (around 1 1/4 hours after the previous shot).
