Though not shot on u43, I just wanted to get some input and feedback. This was shot with a Panasonic DMC-FZ7. I just want to make sure my PP contrast work is getting better.

Damn I love that.. almost like a daguerreotype. So dreamy. I hope you keep up with this stuff.

Here's a phantom of the elevator shaft shot.... a totally different approach to yours. I look at it and realize how much more work I have to do yet.....

On a point of pedantry the above is far from being the oldest park in the world. It may be the oldest continuously operating park of some kind of criteria (I don't know), but that's not what the title says.
I'm not sure Lake Compounce even does claim to be the oldest theme park in the world, the internet cites it as the oldest in North America.

I stand corrected. I apologize. Yes, North America's oldest continuously operating park.

  5. Me too :)

My first expectation when I saw the title was photos of an anthropological excavation site in Babylon or Ur.

Then I considered the "continuously operating" possibility, and thought maybe it was photos of a small city-center park in Athens or China, dating back 2500 or 3500 years.

But when I clicked through I saw the beautiful photo, and stopped worrying about my expectations.

  6. It needs a slight clockwise rotation, but the PP treatment is great. It really does look like an "old" photo.

    Hi Happy,

Really nice job. Perhaps your best yet.

The only critique I'd offer is to correct the horizontal.. it's a little tilted to the left..to my eye.

    Really nice work...

    Cheers, Alan

So ... I'm guessing the insulting thread title can't be changed?

You are correct. Well at least I can't change it.

  10. If you really want to change it, select edit on your first post, and then hit the "go advanced" button.

Having been a mod on vBulletin forums before, I agree the poster can't change the "top" title that shows on the listing, only a mod can

I would hesitate to call it "insulting". "Grossly inaccurate" maybe, but not insulting

  12. I think it depends on the permissions. I changed a title I'd got wrong a while back using the "Go advanced" option. Anyway, it's changed now. I hope the new title isn't considered inaccurate/insulting.

I didn't mean for such an insulting title. I will think a little harder for my next photo.

Thank you for the feedback though.

  14. Dude, don't sweat it. I think the focus on the title got a bit out of hand
