Nina and Pinta

  1. Went to an exhibition of replicas of Christopher Columbus' ships, the Nina and Pinta. They have been docked all week on the Mississippi River in Davenport, Iowa. All shot with G1 and 14-45mm lens.

    Thanks d,
Great to see tall ships. You made a nice interpretation.

Nice shots, they are difficult subjects. They were here in South Carolina a few months ago and I visited them also.

Very nice photos. Do you know if they are planning on sailing down the river? I'm not too far from Memphis and would love to see them (kids too) come by.

  5. Not sure of their next destination but I do know they will set sail early Mon. morning down river. The ships have been here for 2 weeks so it could be awhile till they get to Memphis if they progress that slow.

Found a link to their stops if anyone else lives only the Mississippi and its tributaries:

Looks like they'll be close to me in just a couple weeks!
