The colors look kind of washed out.

I was there in August, and it's interesting how many of the same shots I took as you

(These were taken with a Panasonic TS2)

I'm always amazed at how green the water is.

These are shot with a little Canon P&S. It was just one more time I couldn't be bothered lugging the Ginormous Canon DSLR around... Then I was sorry I didn't have full sized files.

    Thank you again ยต43!!

Great shots, Alan, despite the smaller sensor. Love the rainbow.

I grew up on Grand Island - that pork chop shaped island in the middle of the Niagara river. I miss the Falls, the gorge and Lake Ontario. It's lovely there. Thanks for the great photos. I moved away in 1985, but that area is still home to me.

It was a cloudy, very hot, very humid day, so yes the colors were completely washed out.

All of these shots have been post processed to enhance the contrast, otherwise they'd look like I was shooting in a hazy fog, which is about how it looked in real life.

    Hi MajorMagee,

Yes, it's like that sometimes out there. We can pick our destination, but we can't pick the shooting conditions..

    Cheers, Alan
