More interesting Gazanias have bloomed today. I rather like the first one.

Thanks, Klaus. It seems direct sunlight brings out the best of these flowers (and make them open up). I do like gazanias. I should hopefully have more varieties blooming soon.

Hi,
One more variety of Gazania has bloomed today. So I decided to shoot outdoors and in the studio.

My favourite gazania (studio):

Modded it myself by removing the Internal Cut filter. My OM-D E-M5 doesn't focus to infinity with many native lenses, as I chose not to replace it with a fused silica window; I have done this for my E-PL5, which can focus to infinity with native lenses. I did not want anything to reduce the amount of UV getting to the sensor, as I prefer UV to IR-imaging.

BTW, previously I was told by Lifepixel that the E-M5 was too risky to mod. But looking on their website, it looks like they can mod it now. This gives you a full-spectrum camera with the best IBIS.
