    Hello Iampain, and welcome.
    Just wondering how come you are on a micro four thirds forum.
    Your Sony is not a micro four thirds camera ?:smile:

    As the NEX isn't a micro 4/3 camera you may prefer to join the sister site to Mu-43.com called seriouscompacts.com where you will find a broad range of cameras & users including the NEX.

    Many members of this forum also belong to seriouscompacts so you will get a friendly welcome.

    Actually our suster site TalkNEX would be a more appropriate place to go. You're more than welcome to stay but I'd think being a NEX owner you might want to be on a NEX forum.

    I Pain.. Sony NEX 5N has APS-C sensor and Nikon V1 and J1 are different camera. These cameras are like cars--some have smaller engine and some have bigger hahaah BTW I love ur name .

    No, it is not micro 4/3. Sony's NEX system is a Mirrorless camera system camera, like micro 4/3, but they are not compatible.

    Olympus = micro 4/3
    Panasonic = micro 4/3
    Sony = NEX
    Samsung = NX
    Nikon = 1-series
    Pentax = Q

    Only Olympus and Panasonic use the m43 standard (sensor 4/3 size, interchangeable lenses between the brands). Sony uses an APS-C sensor and an E-mount (proprietary) for their lenses. Samsung also uses an APS-C sensor but they use their own proprietary mount incompatible with Sony. Nikon and Pentax both use sensors that are smaller than the 4/3 sensor, and their own proprietary mounts as well.

    The commonality is they are all mirrorless, but they are all completely different systems outside of micro 4/3.
