    Nikon user here...
I normally shoot event with an attached SB700, using a Rogue FlashBender on it.

With the OMD E-1 setup I'm getting, I'd like to accomplish a similar setup.

The Olympus flash I'm considering (for it's TTL ability) but, it seems rather large
on the M 4/3 system cameras (even the M-1)

Another thread mentioned the Nissin i40

How well does it play with Olympus' TTL?

Does anyone know if there's enough real estate around the flash head to wrap a FlashBender?

If not, any suggestions for flash modifiers?

The Nissin i40 works fine in TTL mode on my OMD bodies. Its major shortfall is that the focus assist beam doesn't work on m4/3 bodies, even though many web sites list that as a feature. The beam works on Nikon, Canon, and maybe some others. This may be an issue for shooting indoor events. The Oly fl-60r has similar capabilities and size, and its focus assist does work. I haven't used Flashbenders, but the heads on these flashes are considerably smaller than those on Nikon and Canom flashes.
