Need help with adapting Minolta 35-105 AF lens first generation on my E-M5. I realised I had it on my old Maxumm. I ordered the Rainbowimaging adaptor from Amazon. What I am confused about is:
Is there any way for the lens's AF to work or I can only focus manually?
Can I use A priority mode or only M?
    Appreciate any additional advise

You will NOT be able to auto-focus this lens; it will be manual focus only. The only non-native lenses with which you can take advantage of autofocus are the Four Thirds lenses.

I don't have any experience with Maxxum lenses, but I believe you won't have any aperture control with the lens (since it has no aperture ring and the aperture is controlled electronically in the native system), so you'll be shooting wide open. If you shoot in Aperture priority or Program mode the camera will set the correct shutter speed based on it's internal light meter. If you shoot in Manual mode or Shutter priority, you will be able to select the correct shutter speed.
