When I was looking at the forums page or for example the Site Information section or even an individual thread I would have the new post on the right side. As of yesterday it just disappeared and I cannot seem to get it back.

The addon I was using for that right column is not compatible with the latest forum software updates. I will add it back as soon as that is possible, but I can't say when that will be.

Well that sucks, I found that very useful for quickly seeing what new things had been posted. Really preferred it over the "Recent Post" page I have to use now.

The New Posts section is still on the homepage, though. Just not the Forums section.

Don't worry, I am not know for that :Welcome:

New software I guess explains the problems I have been having. The page will just stop working on both my Mac (using latest software and using Safari) and iPhone 6+. On the phone I have to close page and reopen to get it to work again. On my Mac I have to open activity monitor and force quit the web services that are no longer responding. This all just started in the last few days.

I think @Phocal@Phocal wants it in the thread view.

While I want that feature back as well, take your time. I, for one, find your constant tinkering with your site(s) as reassuring of your commitment to them. Thanks.

Thanks, David. In this case I wasn't just tinkering. I applied a security update to protect us against a cross-site scripting vulnerability, and it broke the right column sidebar. I'm working on bringing it back.

But I do tinker often because I care :)

I liked that feature and I am glad is back.
I also appreciate the work that goes into this site and how well is maintained/updated/monitored considering there is not an inch of commercialism that "drives" it
Amin, thank you for your hard work.
