Late response, but alas. If they could make this lens weather sealed and fairly compact (say about the size of the panaleica 25), it would form my near-perfect system if combined with an e-m1 or 5. Only a built in flash would still be missing.

Sigh - more choices in the 12-14 range and still no rectilinear wide prime in the 7-8mm range.

    I wouldn't call 24/28mm equivalent "ultrawide" as they did...and I'm with pdk.

Before we get yet another 12/14/15/17, I'd love to see an 7-8mm rectilinear prime. Make it a nice and slow f2.8 pancake and I'll be waving a fistful of dollars in Olympus's face the moment they announce it. :D

Those patent drawings look like they will be pretty large lenses. Not SLR large, but big by m43 standards. Still, I hope they actually see the light of day instead of sit in a file at some patent lawyer's office.

I'm thinking the same. Also with telephoto primes.

Based on the prices of lenses like the Nocticron, these 12/14mm f/1.0 lenses are going to retail for $2500 each...
