Sold my DSLR... a superb Sony A77 and prime lenses and made the move to MFT.

Just got the OMD and a 20mm Panny 1.7 lens and awaiting the 45mm 1.8. Cant wait to get an Oly 60mm and later on a telephoto...just in case.

Nice website and I'm looking forward to posting

    Welcome aboard, Topgazza!

You've chosen a nice couple of prime lenses to begin your MFT odyssey.

Thanks for the welcome guys.... :2thumbs:

Have to say my first impressions of the OMD and the whole MFT range is a great one. My A77 and primes produced pin sharp and lovely colours of course and the OMD is doing the same. The 12-50 "kit" lens is remarkable and actually is a decent macro lens so as an allrounder its superb.

But yes...those primes are really surprising me... I'll post pictures in the forum as my first attempts

    Welcome Topgazza,

This is a great site full of helpfull people willing to share their Mu43 knowledge, skills and tips so all in all a pleasant journey ahead.

You have just done what many have and will continue to do (I recently traded all my DSLR kit in for OMD kit) - there are more people making the move to the smaller footprint cameras especially now that IQ has improved.

Have fun discovering the site and sharing your images and experiences but be prepared to suffer pangs of jealousy, longing and desire all summed up as "GAS" = Gear Aquisition Syndrome!
