I looked around and it seems that everyone is MSRP (B&H seems to have an $80 rebate)

Is that what I am looking at? I also want to get it with the 12-50 kit lens

    Thanks!

Olympus is handing out $80 rebates with most of it's cameras. In a month they'll likely have a new promotion (maybe a better one).

Thanks Luke - that $80 is for towards a viewfinder.

    Saw that.

Cameta has the kit for $150 less but my wife wants to get me a new one

There are likely to be some good sales in the next couple of months - Christams you know! Anyway I am watching too becuase I would love to have one. If I find a super good deal I will post it up, right after I buy one for myself.

I guess we could wait a while, but my birthday is this Saturday and I had to have something (my wife wanted to purchase it for me this week) so we will just pick it up locally tomorrow.

    Thank you though!

Pro photo in NE is where I got mine. They had some in stock when I picked up my 12-35 a month ago, so I imagine they have some. I'm sure you have a shop to deal with already but I tend to like those guys over some of the other shops in PDX. Their filter prices aren't too great though.

I bought my G3 and 20mm from them. I called today and they have the OMD with the 12-50 in stock. Looks like we will rush over there at 5pm tomorrow:2thumbs:

I like the shop as well

    Thanks for the info.

Why reduce the price when it's a seller's market? There's still a high demand for it.

There's definitely demand. The question is how much. Judging by secondhand prices, it's certainly not crazy high, as it was during the summer.

I'm betting the stock is still fairly limited. Once they get boatload of OM-Ds in their inventory, then they'll be more willing to sell em at lower margin for more quantity.
