That EP5 body is nuts at that price, never mind 20% off. The kit is possibly even crazier given that it's the 17 1.8!! The REFURB 17 costs 319 later down the list.

Edit: Some of these prices are what the 20% off used to be:
    Olympus 75 silver $560
    12-40 2.8 640

Yep, that's a solid price on the EP5 which is a great camera. The $480 kit with VF4 and 17/1.8 was a smoking hot deal at $600 when Roberts cleared their stock a few months ago.

If someone is thinking of an IR converted camera you could do a heck of a lot worse than a $240 EP5. (I used this guy for my EPM2 and it's been a great little toy)

I say if one has any interest at all in the E-P5, then they should jump on that body-only deal at $239. I picked up my E-P5 from Roberts when they were closing them out last year. I got an E-P5 body with the VF-4 for $399 brand new.

Given the price of the VF-4 (assuming the purchaser wants one) the $239 deal offers the same kind of value. Everyone's going gaga over the Pen F - and it's a great camera - but the E-P5 is no slouch with a maximum shutter speed of 1/8000th of a second. Really solid build, too.

You are welcome! I bought the combo when it was on clearance at Robert's Camera for $600 and i am EXTREMELY pleased. I'm tempted to buy the kit and sell the lens and VF4 just to get a second E-P5 on the cheap.

I initially plan to do the other way. I'm getting the package but will sell the body and vf since I've been looking for a good deal for a 17/1.8. After reading a few reviews, I might keep and play with it for a while or have it converted to IR.

I've bought the same kit 3 monthes ago in France (E-P5 + 17 mm + VF4) for 399€. I was 1st looking for a 2d hand 17 mm... Great surprise to find this kit brand new for almost the same price! I prefer my E-M1 but this E-P5 is quite the same performer: only miss silent shutter and better hdr function, but it's an amazing camera. Allways in my city-bag since I bought it. The VF4 is very usefull on shinny days...

    What do you mean?

I assigned the HDR bracketing to a button and do my HDR merges via Aurora HDR Pro afterward. I haven't tried an in-camera version though.

i often use the in-camera Hdr, and Only the HDR2 on E-M1 is correct for me (but not transcendent).

EP5 deals gone, thankfully. That might have been really hard on my bank account. 20% deal ends tonight, July 20.

Yeah, US prices on consumer products are insanely cheap. Oh well, I guess we need something to balance out our free healthcare...

20% off? They certainly qualify as refurbished.

Got the package from my very first purchase from the online store - the EP5 with 17/1.8 and VF4. Everything in the box looks good. The lens doesn't look like it has been mounted before. However, the VF4 is nowhere to be found. I already sent them an email and will most likely call soon to get this fixed.

Quick update: called support. The guy said there was an error in their warehouse. They're sending me the VF-4.

As for what I already have: the 17/1.8 looks almost new. Haven't fully tested the focusing but my quick snaps make it seem promising. The battery is empty. Good thing I have extras from my OMDs. The EP5 has a shutter count of 160 and no error logged. I'll play with it more to test the other functions.
