I thought thought big announcement today was the new lenses in development by Panny - a 43 F1.2 OIS and a 150 f2.8 OIS. Both lenses are valuable additions to our system.

Personally I am really excited by the 43 F1.2. A narrower DOF on full length portraits is something I would really like. It clearly wont be cheap although by the look of the Panny slideshow it will not be much bigger than the 25 f1.4.

It is also something of a statement of intent by Panny. It shows that M43 can at least match the narrow DOF of APS-C mirrorless by simply producing faster lenses.

Yeah it's good to see these new lenses in the pipeline.

Still nothing about the 35-100 though, I'm keen to hear about when it will be available.

Looks like it could be awhile before they actually show up, though.

And then some if you add in how long it took for the 20mm to become "easily" available...

Here's the link showing the teaser billboard of these lenses.

Olympus seem intent on releasing a great lens for every possible photographic use. Great planning and roll-out after an initial slow start for MFT.

Doesn't that 42.5 (43 in picture) look like a PL lens?

    Bangin' big too...
Think of how large the M. Zuiko 75 and Lumix 100-300 are....

OTOH, it is an attractive combination of focal length & aperture

Well, the m.Zuiko is nice and small, I'd say.

And the Olympus 75-300mm is rather small all considering. And the entrance pupil for a 150mm f/2.8 won't be significantly larger than that of the 300mm f/6.7 (44.8mm vs 53.5mm).

It'd be nice if it was only just slightly larger than the 35-100mm. Say, 105mm long?
