I cannot seem to lock the exposure using the dedicated fn button. It works when set to AF lock, but i dont get the little AEL sign when its set to that function. Am i doing something wrong or is it flawed?

Secondly, my yongnuo flash wont fire in creative modes. Is this because its a third party flash ? Wouldi it work if the external flash were panasonic?

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

I just checked mine and it works in all mode but in Manual it doesn't work at all which is probably right.

You can't lock the exposure in manual mode with every cameras!! It's not a G6's issue :)

In manual mode the exposure is always "locked" to whatever shutter speed and aperture setting you've chosen.
