    Hi Guys,

I've put a few pictures of my vacation in New England, NY and Canada last september on my flickr account: USA and Canada - a set on Flickr

We started out in Boston, and from there we rented a car and travelled to Portland, Acadia NP, Quebec, Montreal, NY, Cape Cod and back to Boston. Really enjoyed everything!

Hope you like the pictures. Any feedback is appreciated!

New York City is in neither New England nor Canada. But Portland Head lighthouse and Boston are in New England. ;)

Great photos. How did you manage to get the first shot? I would imagine it to be a very challenging high DR situation.

Thanks al lot! Actually I used a variety of lenses. Of the selection shown on this site, the first image was made with the 40-150mm, the second and last one with the Mk2 kit lens, and the third, fourth and fifth one with the 9-18mm. I've also used the 20mm for a few shots in the selection on Flickr.

Haha thanks, I stand corrected! I guess the Flickr album title is more correct!

Thanks! I guess I was a bit lucky with that one. I was standing in the middle of the road, and there was a lot of traffic rushing in my direction. Didn't have a lot of time, but I tried to keep the brightest part of the sun behind the building and used a bit of exposure compensation (-0.7 EV). The rest was up to the highlight recovery slider in Lightroom, which did quite a nice job. Even more so when you keep in mind I shot everything in jpg only!
