    Hi,

I was out late last nite and ventured out to the bridge to take some photos. One was taken with the om-d and panny 12-35mm. The other was taken with the 5d2 and 24mm f/1.4 II. Can you tell them apart from one other?

The first picture looks warmer and has more contrast. So I will say Canon is top.

Top one is sharper and more detailed, but I couldn't make a guess based on that alone. Top one is also warmer which in my fairly limited experience is an Oly characteristic. Overall my guess is the top one is OMD.

It's interesting and somewhat amazing just how close the two images appear. The colors lead me to pick the first as the OM-D, but detail makes me think that it's the Canon. I'd need to see high resolution originals to make a better guess.

Yep. I also agree that they are VERY similar. For web files or small prints (and to the untrained eye), one could easily pass for the other. While there is some additional detail and dynamic range with the larger sensor, it's not too noticeable.

I have no idea which is which, but I prefer the top image slightly.

This is a fun test... My bet is the top is canon and the bottom is OMD.

I'm basing this more on the lens characteristics. The lights in the top image have a nicer 'star effect'. I don't tend to get this with my 12-35mm night shots. Having said that, I don't usually stop my shots down further than F6.3, so I can't be 100% sure.

That is pretty difficult to tell at this image size. Beautiful shot from both cameras!

The top image is the better / cleaner image on close inspection, so I'd like to say that's the 5D2.
