As my picture in the last challenge was deemed worthy enough to win it is my honour to present the next challenge! As the theme I chose "My Hometown" (and with that I mean of course your hometown, just to be clear...). Post a photo matching the theme new or old shot on an M43 camera and 72 hrs or so from now a winner and a runner up will be chosen by me. The winner will get to set the next challenge. Since we all live somewhere there is absolutely no excuse not to join... Show us a great shot from your hometown; a skyline, a famous landmark, an undiscovered gem, some typical local event or colourful people...! Anything goes, colour or B&W, but try to be as original as possible and show us a sight of your hometown that has not been seen before. I would appreciate some explanation and background on what we are looking at as well...! Good luck to all and I look forward to all your entries!

Here's one from the other night taken in historic downtown Clinton, NJ ...technically this is one town over, but close enough for government work :smile: {} "600" height="800" alt="Clinton Night"> G5 + PL 45mm
I spent a brief night in Calgary last year but did not really get to see the city, did spend a few nights in Vancouver though, liked it a lot, although for some reason we ended up spending a lot of time in a bar as there was some big hockey game on that time (Stanley cup if I remember correctly). I found myself cheering with the locals for the Canucks, great party in town after they beat (if I remember correctly) Chicago..
PANORAMA: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Xmas 2011. Olympus E-P3 and Tamron 90mm f/2.5 manual. HDR stitched from 5 shots in PS. I am in the process of making this panorama work and display properly. My current portfolio theme doesn't allow removing the black transparencies. The whole panorama as it is now can be viewed here: CLICKY. A sample of the image full scale below:
Since this is a short running challenge I will bump it occasionally to keep it under people's attention..!
Here's a pretty awesome church in my hometown of Milwaukee, WI. My apologies to the HDR haters..... View attachment 232594 The Basilica of St. Josaphat by Lukinosity, on Flickr
Piazza S. Giacomo Hi, I live in Udine, Italy. This is outside my house's door: Piazza S. Giacomo under the rain. {}
Wow, that's a great pic, and I love the way it's been processed. One of the things I love about this forum is how truly international it is. I suspect that will become even more evident as this thread gets filled!
great entries already! well you said something original :smile: At the corner of downtown Toronto's financial district ... Scotiabank Main Branch {} The Bank by rpamparo, on Flickr

Wow, used to ride over that with my Dad when I was a kid! I remember thinking "skyway" was a romantic name for a bridge. Great photo!
