I need to buy a macro lens for some very close up filming I'm doing (GH4) but it needs to also be useful for photos as well (EM1 + GH4).

I'm currently looking at the Oly 60m Macro.

Any better solutions around this price range or is the Oly 'the' macro to go for ?

The PL45 has OIS for video if that matters?

Thanks - but I almost never shoot hand held.

In AF lenses, the Oly 60 is the star of the show.

Look no further than the Oly 60mm.

The longer reach is pretty useful for macro, CA and distortion is completely absent or minimal, serves as a short telephoto, has a focus limiter nob (for using in general photography), weather sealed etc etc. That said, it is slower to focus than most other native lenses.

Ming thein did the review and declared it the reference lens for m43 system (in late 2012). Also, he did a test between it and PL45, Carl zeiss 50mm macro, as well as Nikon 60mm G Micro. Oly won in almost all categories.
