This happened a week ago.....talk about crappy luck, the wheels swiped off of my 2008 Caliber SRT-4.

    disclaimer: cheap cell phone pic:

Just got the car with the new wheels and shot a couple of shots at the park,
I often read on here, advice to turn of IBIS when using a tripod.

I have often remarked that I fail to see a difference.

these shots are on a tripod, IBIS on, it is always on, in fact I would have to dig thru menu's and figure out how to turn it off, as I have never turned it off, and I use a tripod an awful lot...

the 45mm Olympus f/1.8 was used.

That is a bummer. I think those guys should be indroduced to a Pinon tree. Will your inurance cover the wheels and tires?

    That's a gut punch.

Looks like she landed on her (new) feet. And just think: four free cinderblocks!

Wow, that stinks! It's hard to believe anybody bothers to steel wheels like that anymore... it's like a bad joke, leaving a car up on cinder blocks (unless of course it happens to you) :frown:

Glad to hear the insurance covered it at least!

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but glad the insurance came through, and glad your lug nuts are now locks. I had an old, beat up Toyota on its last legs stolen twice in Boston. First time the alternator burned out on them, and they left it in the middle of the street. Second time, though, different crooks took it to New Hampshire, where the efficient and unforgiving NH law enforcement caught up with them. Made my day

That's a real bummer, Lucille! :frown: There was an item on NBC news about a week ago about wheel theft becoming a new epidemic. So good idea to add locks to all 5 lugnuts. Real PITA if you need to change a tire I'd bet, but it might help deter the less-dedicated thieves.

BTW, if you enable the Super Control Panel (SCP) on your E-PL2, turning off IBIS is just a couple of button-clicks. It's on the bottom-left of your SCP screen.

EDIT: Oooops... I typed E-PL2 instead of E-PL1, but it's in the same place on either camera.

I think the first picture is a little flat, not too much contrast, the background is too much present, it should have been blur maybe in post processing...
Just kidding, that's sucks. I don't even know what I'm talking about.
I thought this kind of thing only happened in Italy.
I can't believe they were nice enough to leave it on cement blocks.

What a drag! It looks pretty nice with the new ones!

BTW you should be able to enable/disable IBIS with the SCP. On my PL2 it's the item in the bottom lef

I have noticed that in Chicago they also leave them on blocks. It is really nice of the thieves to care enough to not damage the body/undercarriage. :)
  13. Bummer. It's a good job then that my car is a piece of junk.

I am going to have to purchase wheel locks for my 2006 Monte SS, I
never realized stock wheels are a target...

My GTO has stockers, my Camaro has all 5 lug wheel locks..
