A postscript about the processing: all photos were edited with Snapseed app on my phone, none were SOOC; a small amount of grain was also applied, because that's how I like it.

During the first week I used my Fujifilm X30 and a film simulation recipe for Kodak Gold, as per the recipes at https://fujixweekly.com - highly recommended for those who like shooting JPEG only with Fujifilm cameras.

When I switched to shooting mu43, I attempted to give the final images a similar, but less processed, feel to the Fuji photos.

Thanks Melanie for the ride, viewing and privilege of experiencing in a small way the wonders of our rural scenery.
In your own inimitable way you've encapsulated the essence of outback travel.
It's good to know it's there even if some can't partake on the ground.
Thanks too to your trustee packhorse, shoulder to lean on, bagging outerer and all else he is for his share in us enjoying it :)

Looking forward to more Episodes by Melanie

Thank you all very much for your generous comments while I've posted more photos than a lot could be bothered with - your tenacity is appreciated! I'm honestly not sure if I'd go on holiday if I couldn't take and share photos. Hopefully some members from outside Australia might find our landscape interesting, too.
